Beauty...and all that

A Dove ad on YouTube that has a very powerful and powerfully delivered message.

That's a really good ad. Very powerful.

I recall a while back a webpage where it described all of the photoshop effects used on models after the shot was taken, but can't remember where I saw it.

Very cool, Cheryl. I hope you don't mind if I steal it & post too :)

Not a bit...that's what it's is for. I have shared it with various people at the school I work for in hopes of it finding a way to help girls understand just how unattainable and >stoopid< 'ideal' beauty is.

Right -- "be the change you want to see in the world" is the quote that comes to mind. Happy Monday to you!

That might be interesting...do you mean specifically the ones used here in this clip or a generic discussion? That might be a nice companion to a lesson based on this clip.

Nice icon to go with the topic, btw.

It was a slide-show type thing, with commentary at each step, from the original photo of the model blemishes and all, all the way to the end product.

I'll dig around and see if I can find it again.

Pleased you caught the icon refrence. "More human than human."

Thanks for the post! I'm sending it on to all my female and my graphic design friends. I knew they doctored photos, but that's more extreme than I imagined.
