April Fool all over

I guess it's a sign that users of teh intarwebs are an idle, silly, and sometimes downright mean lot, but the current crop of April Fools jokes is upon us.

from Fantasy Flight Games Release Schedule. (many other good ones there, go check)

LAKE WOBEGON HORROR
This massive new board and card expansion for ARKHAM HORROR opens a new gate to a new town in central Minnesota. Being this far from Arkham, Massachusetts causes everything the Investigators know to be corrupted by the strong women, good-looking men, and above average children of Lake Wobegon. New Locations include Ralph's Pretty Good Grocery, the Sidetrack Tap, and the Chatterbox Café, while new Investigators include Guy Noir, Prince Rogers Nelson, Winona Rider, and Jesse “The Body” Ventura.

*snort* I want to play this!! LOL.

Woot put up a BoC for over $1 million. Plus $5 shipping o'course. Boardgamegeek has apparently added sections for crochet and scrapbooking. And so on. And so on. Feel free to report your favorites as a comment to this post.

Oh, and if you listen to the local A2 NPR station, Michigan Radio, you may hear our day sponsor message today. No joke.

ETA: OOOOOOHHH!!! And NPR news/Weekend Edition just did a sponsor message from "...the Soylent Corporation, manufacturing protein-rich food products in a variety of colors. Soylent Green is People." Take that, ADM! LOLZ.

ETA2: The Marketplace Money April Fool story was just awesome. Find the podcast here.

Garrison Keilor and H. P. Lovecraft just somehow mesh. It's eerie.

I missed your day-sponsorship on WUOM today. Did you get a recording of any of the times they read it? That's an audio clip that needs to be shared! (We did hear the piece on "Marketplace Money" about the "wallet carrier" which I laughed at repeatedly, once I realized what it was.)

One of my paid blogging bits (Green Options) had some stories in honor of the spirit of the day: Mine
