I have been sort of reluctantly reading the other webcomic on the same site as Order of the Stick, called Erfworld.

Erfworld just turned itself into Life on Mars.

I am not sure if this makes me more interested or less.

Man. I love Life on Mars, but Erfworld has zero appeal to me.

Umm....is the warlord wearing a hamster t-shirt or are my eyes decieving me? I mean I'm not the sharpest knife on occasion but that looked like a hamster shirt, it really did.

Actually it is armor made in the *image* of a hamster tee shirt, with attendant pizza stains by an over-zealous underling in the weird turn-based reality called Erfworld.

They have Dwagons. And Gobwins. And a few random 'r's that are *not* transliterated to 'w's on occasion. And the protagonist gets a 'Stupid Meal' (=Happy Meal but with info for the ignorant guy about the world) when everybody's food just appears when each day (=turn) appears. It has odd things implied by having a turn-based cosmology. I think that is the only reason I am still reading it.

I loved Life on Mars until I saw how they ended the second series. Then I got mad and upset. I won't say why unless you tell me you have seen to the end of the series, because I don't want to mess it up for you.

I have, and I'd like to talk about it, but we shouldn't talk about it without a spoiler cut. Call me.

You know what?

I've misjudged Erfworld.

After your post, and now it getting nominated by Time as one of the top 10 graphic novels of 2007, I went back to check it out again. When I'd read an occasional strip, it just looked kind of dumb and didn't do anything for me. Going through the whole thing from the beginning, so all the weird references make (more) sense, it's actually pretty damn good.

Are you sure you just didn't like the fetish-wear?
