Ah...you don't remember that I already *do* know how to use one. That's one of the reasons I like it. I got to practice a bunch on the not-very-big red leather one that illyaa uses for his Illinois Smith costume.
I have a funny story about this in fact.
When I was working at ImageSet, there was a couple who both worked there. J and E. J gave E a large bullwhip for a present; I think it was her birthday. They brought it to work. They let people have a try at snapping it in the parking lot. I was the only person who snapped it on the first try. I was giving E lessons a little after that. J was a little intimidated by me, I think. :) I really enjoyed that.
