A competitor for string theory
Nov. 15th, 2007 05:49 pmA Physics PhD, without institutional affiliation and something of a surfer-dude, has put forward a new theory of everything, predicting about 20 new particles in the process, that only requires three dimensions of space and one of time instead of a set of higher dimensions.
I don't care if it pans out or not, just having such a theory will spur lots of interesting stuff, in science and in science fiction.
See an article about it here.
Thanks,
sorcycat.
