What's Your Personality Type?

This is a different result than I am used to. But, OTOH, I feel more comfortable in my skin these days than I think ever before, so take that FWIW. (Are there enough acronyms in there?)
I haven't been posting much lately. Being busy is part of that, but not everything. I continue to be interested in reading yor stuffs, though.

You Are An ENFP |
![]() You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends. You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority. Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives. You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller! In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart. You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. You break a lot of hearts. At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do. You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist. How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused |

If you're serious about IQ and psych tests...I would love to.
I have taken some serious IQ tests, and between that and my GRE scores, I know I qualify for Mensa if I ever want to join up. Which leads me to a funny story...
As an undergrad taking intro to psych, you have to participate in a number of studies as a subject. One of the studies I was in had us participants take part of a GRE test. Then write some stuff "while they graded our tests." Then we got our results. Then we wrote some more. I forget the details of the subterfuge, but the score they gave me was so out of whack (like 50th percentile?) from how I know I test, and too boot, I'd *known* I had aced those questions. Maybe most of the student they get in psych aren't math oriented? Of course it was a study about self-perception and self-esteem. When that was revealed, I just laughed. The test score I supposedly earned was so ridiculous to me, it totally ruined the desired effect. I got to write some more about that after they revealed the 'gotcha' at the very end. I just laughed all the way home.

(I know what presterjon is saying, though I've found that the final four-letter acronym results of the various free online versions do tend to produce the same results *for me* as the real version, but without the detailed analysis that makes it truly meaningful.)

The Giver
You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and you usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.
In love, you are very protective and supporting.
However, you do need to "feel special" - and it's quite easy for you to get jealous.
At work, you are a natural leader. You can help people discover their greatest potential.
You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.
How you see yourself: Trusting, idealistic, and expressive
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Bossy, inappropriate, and loud
