Apparently I am a socialist. I've always thought of myself as socially liberal but fiscally conservative. How that tracks, I just don't know. I think this test was a bit heavy on absolutes, and fiscal conservatism done right is a balancing act. For example, there was a statement about not being able to feed everybody. I had to disagree strongly. If we made this our highest good, we could do it. However, the costs (I am not speaking of monetary costs alone, but trade-offs) might well be prohibitive, so I am not sure if I were the Boss of You that I *would* do it. This test isn't subtle enough to catch that stuff.

You are a

Social Liberal
(76% permissive)

and an...

Economic Liberal
(20% permissive)

You are best described as a:

Socialist

Fiscally conservative in this age tends to mean at least a passing nod to social Darwinism. Or at least a trickle-down approach of "economic sector growth", which philosophy tends to divorce fiscal responsibility for social well being from government.

I think, not knowing you at all really, that you're likely a careful, economically mature and responsible Social Democrat. But that's a guess. I'm somewhere between a Socail Democrat and an outright Socialist myself; I run politically with the Social Democrats, I suppose. Though lately in Canada, they (read: the NDP) tend to be total idiots lately (read: uncareful, economically immature shrieking messes) so I don't vote for them.
