I got HBP from the library. I put it on my requests back in February. I was 39th in line out of over 380 by the time it was officially available, yesterday. I checked my online library account three times yesterday morning to see if/when I could pick it up. Just after the copy J ordered from Amazon appeared in our mailbox, I went out to the library to pick up mine.
I finished it last night right about midnight.
I don't care that S watched "Dumbo" twice while I read it. J was reading too, the other copy. He finished it about an hour ago.
On the other hand, I could be a lot worse. This week, I heard an interview on NPR about![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
hogwarts_elite. I went and checked it out. The application thing seemed neat. They ask about your favorite and least favorite book, least favorite character and other things that seem interresting to discuss. The last question asks how much time you expect to put in to participating in the community. They seem to want to be very exclusive and make active participation a big deal. A VERY BIG deal.
The first application I read over, the applicant said she was planning to put in "A few good hours, at least two, on most days."
YIKES. Nevermind, I'm not interrested in applying after all. They are good books, excellent books, IMO, but sheesh. Get a life!
