About half and half. I want to make new friends in the various communities in which I participate. It's harder to do that if everything is locked up tight. Especially in the case of

Date: 2008-02-29 09:35 pm (UTC)It's just anything to do with religion attracts trolls I think. Just because some of it is personal and not-necessarily-100%-rational pretty much by definition.
Interestingly our main troll has been tamed for the most part. Actually, I shouldn't call him a troll, but he's definitely an instigator. Publicly a non-buddhist, a neo-pagan in fact, he likes to tweak the newbies who don't get a lot of stuff yet. Including me when I first posted. I've actually gained a lot of poise from being on that comm. But now that he's less active, belligerent and muck-raking, the community is much less interesting, actually.
